HALIN: AR 88 ratti (10.14g), 6th century, Mitch-98:424/25, Mahlo-47/48, bhadrapitha, 5 lamps above // srivatsa, sankh shell inside, without "nose", 3 pellets below, with crescent below the middle pellet, overstruck on undetermined host, few light scratches on reverse, EF, RRR, ex Hans Mondorf Collection. Obverse with 5 lamps, as Mahlo-47, reverse with small sankha as Mahlo-48. The bhadrapitha is the altar, with a garland around the center and five lamps above. Mitchiner and others have called it the damaru, which is the Vishnu's hand drum, but an altar seems more convincing.
