CUBA: AR 2 reales (5.17g), ND [1841], KM-2, lattice countermark with star at center on 1803-FA Spain 2 reales, Madrid mint, VF on Good host. In 1841, the Spanish authorities in Cuba ordered all circulating silver to be devalued and countermarked with a lattice punch. The countermarked silver was then permitted to circulate in Trinidad, Santiago, and Puerto Principle (then the capital of Haiti).
