KUSHAN: Huvishka, ca. 155-187, AV dinar (7.93g), G-227A (same reverse die), crowned half-bust of Huvishka arising from the clouds, wearing decorative jacket, holding scepter & goad // Shaoreoro (the deity associated with Mars) standing right, with Roman style helmet, holding spear and resting his left arm on a shield, bold strike, choice EF, RR, ex Hans Mondorf Collection. Very rare variety with the deity's name divided with "shao" right and "reoro" left. Only one example of this type recorded on CoinArchives, from the same dies but one grade lower than this piece, which sold at CNG Auction 93, Lot 704, for $2750 in 2013.
