TUNIS: Mahmud I, 1730-1754, AV sultani (3.43g), Tunis, AH1148, KM-45, UBK-53, Damali-TU-A2, reverse legend darib al-nadr wa sahib al-'izz al-nasr fi'l-birr wa'l-bahr, as on published examples dated AH1155, EF, RRRR. This is the second known specimen dated AH1148. The other example, from the same obverse die, and likely the same reverse die at a different stage of its life, was sold in Stephen Album Auction 23, Lot 338, for $7500.
