Nero augustus, 54 – 68. Aureus circa January-November 55, AV 7.45 g. Conjoined busts of Nero, bare-headed, and Agrippina II, draped, r. Rev. Quadriga of elephants l., bearing two chairs holding Divus Claudius, radiate r., holding eagle-tipped sceptre and Divus Augustus, radiate r., holding patera and sceptre. C 3. RIC 6. Calicó 397.
Very rare. Two pleasant portraits struck on a very broad flan, several edge
marks, possibly traces of mounting, otherwise good very fine
