THESSALY. Larissa. Late 4th - early 3rd centuries B.C. Æ chalkous. 2.18 gm. 14 mm. Head of the nymph Larissa right, hair rolled up about head, wearing pendant earring / Crouching horse left, about to roll; ΛΑΡΙΣ above, AΙΩΝ below. Cf. BCD Thessaly II 392.1. SNG Copenhagen 144. Near Very Fine; good style; some old scrapes beneath rich dark green and brown patina. Pleasing example of a coin relatively hard to find.
