Maxentius. A.D. 307-312. Æ follis. 4.76 gm. 24 mm. Ticinum mint, 3rd officina. Struck A.D. 308-310. His laureate head right / Roma seated within tetrastyle temple, being crowned by Victory to right; T T in exergue. RIC VI 108. Very Fine; green patina with pale earthen deposit highlights.

Maxentius the usurper perished in A.D. 312 at the famous battle of the Milvian Bridge over the Tiber River in Rome, on the eve of which it is reputed that Constantine had his 'vision of the cross,' leading to his adoption of Christianity as the new state religion.
