THRACE, Byzantion. Circa 150-120 BC. AR Tetradrachm (33mm, 16.74 g, 12h). In the name and types of Lysimachos. Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; monogram to inner left, BY on throne, ornamented trident in exergue. Marinescu Issue 147, – (unlisted dies); Müller 220. VF, toned, softly struck. Rare, only two examples of this issue recorded by Marinescu.
