The East Harptree Hoard was discovered in 1887 by Mr. Kettlewell of Harptree Court. The coins were studied by the British Museum and published in The Numismatic Chronicle in 1888 by John Evans who remarked on the "remarkably good preservation". The hoard was then returned to the finder and they remained untouched until the present day. This hoard represents a fabulous opportunity to acquire some outstanding siliquae.
