38 mm; 41.81 gms. Grove-P-378. Emiliano Zapata on horseback speaking to farmer standing to side; Reverse: Mexican flag with radiant sun behind with inscription on scroll below. Struck to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Zapata's proclamation of the Plan de Ayala. A RARE modern mint issue with a total mintage of just 110 pieces in gold over a three year period. Sharply struck as would be expected being a product of the Mexico City mint. Lightly toned. NGC MS-64.
