1909 VDB 1C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-1101, MS66 Red PCGS. CAC. The date and LIBERTY show the die doubling the most clearly. This variety is rare in MS66 Red and nearly unknown finer. The current coin yields vibrant, frosty luster that is copper-gold throughout except for a crescent of violet along the upper-right obverse border. The strike is sharp and there are no major abrasions. Population: 17 in 66 (3 in 66+) Red, 1 finer (4/17).
