1899 5C MS66+ PCGS. Aside from some slight, inevitable incompleteness at the lower-left wreath, this high-end Premium Gem nickel is particularly well-struck. Liberty's hair strands and the star centers are sharp for the issue. Pleasing golden-gray patina displays ice-blue and rose highlights while cartwheel mint luster rolls across the finely grained surfaces. Marks are essentially nonexistent. Population: 8 in 66+, 6 finer (4/17).
