Three Cent Silver
1872 3CS MS65 PCGS. Gold CAC. Solidly struck with frosty devices and reflective fields, this Gem 1872 silver three cent piece is the only example of the date to received a Gold CAC label. Housed in a green label PCGS slab, the coin offers appreciable cameo contrast and displays delicate lavender toning. Eye appeal surpasses expectations for the grade. The 1872 in this condition is a major rarity. We have previously handled only a handful of coins at the MS65 level, and the Gold CAC sticker makes this piece uniquely special. We anticipate strong bidder participation when this lot crosses the auction block. Population: 4 in 65 (1 in 65+), 7 finer (4/17).
