Standing Liberty Quarters
1929-D 25C MS66 Full Head PCGS. The 1929-D quarter is a better date in Full Head, and it becomes particularly scarce as such in Gem or better condition. This Premium Gem example is among the finest at PCGS, and only a single MS67 Full Head coin is better at NGC (4/17). Delicate pastel hues accentuate light champagne toning on each side, and the satiny surfaces are virtually pristine. Unlike on some Full Head pieces that are just barely "there" with regards to the head detail, this coin has an intricately sharp strike that includes the head, shield rivets, and eagle's feathers. The two bottom stars on the obverse are the only incomplete portions of the design. This coin is easily one of the finest 1929-D quarters known. Population: 18 in 66 (3 in 66+) Full Head, 0 finer (4/17).
