Bust Half Dollars
1825 50C O-102, R.1, MS64+ PCGS. CAC. An early die state example, showing recutting on the 8 in the date and faintly visible die lines in the field below the tip of Liberty's bust. The strike is sharp throughout the stars and obverse portrait but slightly soft on the lowest leaf pair on the reverse. Original, frosty mint luster shows no distracting abrasions but is cast in attractive lavender and turquoise-blue toning. The visual appeal is outstanding.
