Barber Half Dollars
1908 50C MS67 PCGS. Ex: Duckor. This outstanding Superb Gem possesses a bold strike on the obverse, with minor weakness on the reverse only at the junction of the shield and right (facing) wing. The frosty luster is aglow with a tinge of light golden toning, while the surfaces are devoid of any blemishes aside from a few microscopic ticks visible only with a glass.
This is one of only two PCGS coins in this grade we have ever offered, and it comes with an impressive pedigree. In total, PCGS and NGC each report three 1908 Barber halves in this grade with none finer at either service (4/17). Only the 1908-S is scarcer among the four 1908 issues of this denomination. This piece is truly remarkable and should not be passed up.
