Indian Quarter Eagles
1925-D $2 1/2 MS66 NGC. The sharp strike is nearly unaffected by minor die buckling that is mostly visible at the lower obverse rim, and the reverse is especially bold for this Denver issue with a sharp mintmark and crisply defined plumage on the eagle's shoulder. Marks are limited to a few wispy lines, none of which significant even at the Premium Gem grade. Lustrous, straw-gold surfaces gleam brightly with attractive coloration. The 1925-D is seldom finer, with NGC reporting a single numerically finer piece and no examples exceed MS66 at PCGS. NGC census: 54 in 66 (2 in 66★), 1 finer (4/17).
