Liberty Double Eagles
1867 $20 MS61 PCGS. Sun-gold shadings blend with light rose-gold hues throughout this Uncirculated 1867 double eagle. The Mint produced more than a quarter-million twenty dollar gold pieces that year, but survivors are very scarce at this grade level and certainly any finer. Myriad marks are present over each side, including a long, shallow mark in the left obverse field. The motifs are well-defined, and the luster is remarkably lively.
