Bust Half Dollars
1810 50C O-109, R.3, AU55 PCGS. Nice silver luster shines through an even mantle of powder-gray toning, while the finely textured surfaces seem to repel any abrasions or marks. The strike is a bit uneven -- sharp on about half of the stars, but a trifle flat on others and at the high points of the cap and curls. The reverse is rotated 45° clockwise. Overall, a choice and appealing example of this somewhat scarce early date and variety in the Bust series.
