Proof Barber Half Dollars
1915 50C PR65 PCGS. This low-mintage Barber half was the final year of production for proofs in the series; only 450 pieces were struck. This example shows brightly mirrored fields that flash strongly through the multiple layers of cobalt-blue and rose toning. Each side appears free from contact, but there is just a bit of high-point strike softness apparent on the reverse. Population: 16 in 65 (1 in 65+), 31 finer (4/17).
