Seated Dollars
1841 $1 MS62 PCGS. OC-3, R.2. Die lines above the leg left of the pole base, and extensions of the shield lines above and below attribute the variety. The 1841 is regarded as an available date, but comparable Mint State survivors are rare. Softness usually occurs over Liberty's head, which is better-defined than average on this MS62 example. The sandal and eagle also show good detail. Variegated lavender and gold patina covers much of each side. Population: 24 in 62, 26 finer (5/17).
