Proof Trade Dollars
1880 T$1 PR64+ PCGS. Violet-gray patina covers most of the surface area of this near-Gem proof. Rotation under a light source brings out lovely shades of gold, blue, and magenta. The strike is expectedly pinpoint-sharp, and there are remarkably few signs of contact for the assessment, hence the Plus designation. Only 1,987 Trade dollars were manufactured in 1880 -- all in proof format.
