1887/6 $1 VAM-2, Top 100, MS65+ PCGS. A Top 100 Variety. The bottom loop of a 6 is plain under the 7. Dramatic obverse toning includes elements of violet, blue, magenta, and gold. Conversely, the reverse is largely brilliant with wisps of golden color around the periphery. The lower stars are a touch soft, as is the hair over Liberty's ear, but this amazing Gem is otherwise crisply defined. Rarely seen finer.
