(1947) Gold One Pound, KM-35, MS62 PCGS. This is the famous gold pound used for oil payments to Saudi Arabia. The gold weight is the same as found in the British sovereign. The obverse features a Heraldic Eagle design, inscribed U.S. MINT above, and PHILADELPHIA - U.S.A. below. The reverse has the three line inscription CONTAINS .2354 TROY OZS. FINE GOLD. An attractive example with fully lustrous yellow-gold surfaces.
