1862 $10 Ten Dollar, Judd-298, Pollock-358, Low R.6, PR64 Brown PCGS. The obverse is identical to the regular issue ten dollar dies for 1862. The reverse is similar to the adopted design, with the addition of the motto GOD OUR TRUST set directly into the field above the eagle. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. This high date variety (Pollock-358) has surfaces that were obviously bronzed, as often seen, and as a result the fields do not show the reflectivity one would expect from a proof. Nevertheless, the surfaces are attractive with even reddish-brown patina and no mentionable contact marks.
