1899 $20 MS64 PCGS. The final year of the 19th century saw the production of 1.6 million double eagles at the Philadelphia Mint. The 1899 is widely available in MS64 but seldom seen in higher grades. Spindly die cracks travel through the legends on each side. A razor-sharp twenty dollar gold piece with subtle rose and green accents. PCGS shows 30 finer submissions (5/17).
