Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles
1913-S $20 MS63 PCGS. Excluding High Reliefs, three Saint-Gaudens issues have a mintage below 100,000 coins, and the 1913-S ranks second among them (34,000 pieces). All examples were struck in the final days of December 1913, and most Uncirculated 1913-S twenties show signs of rough handling. This copper and green-gold Select double eagle displays a typically incomplete strike on the Capitol and torch hand. Frosty luster rolls over each side.
