Halfcrown 1879 Obv 3 Rev E - Davies 585 a newly discovered Young Head reverse, only two examples are known to the numismatic author Peter Davies , Reverse E differs from Reverse D by having the REGINA FID closer with the Crown's top crosses being almost identical. The Crown's lower jewels are more ornate and the garland emblem is smaller with the thistle now touching it's leaf. The I of FID points to a space not a bead as on Reverse D. When Obverse 3 is paired with Reverse E, both known examples have a minute circular patch of slightly raised lines below the ear lobe, VF/NVF
