Roman Judaea, 3rd-5th Century AD, Monumental Light Green Double-Balsamarium. Robustly made from a thick, rimmed tube folded over and heat joined, with large looping tiers of handles added. Aside from the usual discreet repairs (only detectable under a black light) to the handle, piece beautifully preserved. Holding and regarding this piece, one is brought to mind of some utilitarian object made of icicles! Rare this choice. Height: 9". Estimate Value $1,500 - 2,000
