Roman Judaea. Circa 3rd Century AD, Opalized Amber Oinochoe. Stunning free-blown jug with spherical body, cylincrical neck, trefoil spout, and applied handle. Formed of amber glass, delicate threads trail around the body below the neck in a spiraling manner. Beautiful gold iridescence throughout, with sparkling passages of green, blue, lavender, and pink.
