Roman Judaea, Circa 3rd-4th Century AD., Glass-Wrapped Footed Balsamarium. A richly textured version of the usual twin-handled tublar vessel with folded integral foot. In thick green glass, this piece is solid and heavy with a thickly rimmed mouth and the entire body encircled with spirally trailed glass. Intact and absolutely pristine. Height: 4½"
