Obv. legend var. of RIC-88=162 (R2), Depeyrot-7/3=9/3 (pp. 275-6, 8 spec. from officina G), and C-112 (25 Fr.). Obv: FL IVL CONSTAN - TIVS RERP (sic) AVG Helmeted, pearl-diademed, cuirassed bust front, holding spear over r. shoulder and shield decorated with emperor riding down enemy before l. shoulder. Rx: GLORIA - REI - PVBLICAE Roma and Constantinopolis seated holding shield inscribed VOT / XXX / MVLT / XXXX, SMANG. in exergue. Ex Ponterio, CICF Auction, 15 March 1990, lot 2285. The engraver's mistake in the obverse legend, RERP for PERP, is not recorded by RIC, Depeyrot, or Cohen, though CoinArchives Pro also shows it on two other obverse dies from the same issue, one coupled with a reverse of officina B (Triton XVI, 9 January 2013, lot 1170 = Helios 5, 25 June 2010, lot 452), the other coupled with a reverse of officina E (Spink 6026, 30 November 2006, 281).Small contact mark on shield on reverse
