Trajan Decius. ; Trajan Decius; 249-251 AD, Nicomedia, Bithynia, AE 23.5, 6.46g. RPC-319 (2 spec., including ours); Lindgren-179 (this coin). Obv: AV KA TPAIAN - ?EKIOC AV CE Bust radiate, draped, cuirassed r. Rx: NIKOMH?EON ?I - C NEOKOPO around (MH, ON, and NE, ligate), N in exergue, G in l. field, Roma seated l. above shield, holding Victory and spear with point upwards. Ex Antioch Associates List 46, December 1999, no. 194; ex Lindgren/Kovacs-179. Apparently only the second specimen recorded with this reverse type, and from the same dies as the other example. The same obverse die was also used for RPC-323, 330, and 334.
