Trajan Decius. ; Trajan Decius; 249-251 AD, AE 22.5, 6.85g. Not in RPC. Obv: AV.KAI.TPAIA - N.?EKIO[C] AVG CE (VG ligate) Bust radiate, draped, cuirassed r. Rx: [NIKOM]H?EON - ?IC NEOKOPON around (MH, ON, and ON ligate), G in r. field, Nemesis standing l. holding scales and goad, wheel at her feet. Purchased from Münzen und Medaillen Basel, 8 April 1970. Apparently a new reverse type for Decius at Nicomedia; not in RPC. The same obverse die, however, was also coupled with at least two other reverse types at Nicomedia, RPC-329 and 331/2.
