Rx: AVGVCTAN - WN ETO - V TKC Naked athlete seated facing on solid bench, legs to l., crowning himself with his r. hand and resting l. hand on bench; to r., amphora containing palm branch. Ex Triton VII, 14 January 2004, lot 767; ex SNG Levante-1252; ex Auctiones 7, 7 June 1977, lot 410; ex SNG Aulock 5537. This coin is both cited and illustrated by RPC-1423 and by Karbach, Die Münzprägung der Stadt Augusta in Kilikien, Jahrbuch für Numismatik und Geldgeschichte 1990, pp. 61-62, no. 106. Karbach recorded only seven specimens of this coin, from one obverse and three reverse dies; RPC adds three more examples, for a total of ten.
