ca. 18th Century AD. This is an unusually good example of Islamic metalwork in the form of a Northwest African probably Moroccan powder flask. The piece is meticulously decorated in a raised design. It has a circular body with a long neck for dumping powder in a muzzle loader. An excellent example of a more common Islamic type of metalwork wich is much less well-decorated. H. 6 1/4" (16 cm).
