TICKETS and PASSES, Gardens, LAMBETH, Vauxhall Gardens, Britannia, copper, unsigned [by R. Yeo after W. Hogarth], Britannia standing left, holding spear, offering hand to semi-kneeling muse, shield at right, tamen inter arma below, back dated (1747), 40 x 34mm, 14.78g (cf. W 1373 and p.188; D & W –; cf. Baldwin Auction 12, 1011 and Noble II, 812). A later striking from the die in lightly rusted state, perhaps by Matthew Young, good very fine and extremely rare; with integral loop for suspension £200-300
