Republic Sun Yat-sen "Five Pointed Stars" Dollar ND (1912) MS67 NGC, KM-Y319, L&M-42. Low Stars variety, issued to Commemorate the Birth of the Republic. A stunning example of this elusive Republic Dollar. The near-flawless surfaces are shimmering white, with boldly defined devices. The overall appearance is spectacular, with a brilliant gleaming look as one might imagine of a piece fresh from the mint dies. Previously, we were extremely fortunate to auction an example in, MS67, in our December 2015 Hong Kong auction. That piece had delicate toning, and this pristine white example is just as nice, in every respect. None have been certified finer by either NGC, or PCGS.
