Tempo Era Mameita-gin ND (1837-1858) Choice XF, Hartill-9.56, JNDA 09-68, 9.00g. Obv. Daikoku, with PO in middle. Rev. Large Ho character. An exceptional example, with considerable luster on both sides and only light rubbing on the highpoints. Sharply struck, with no egregious flaws. The casting sprue is still attached, as normally the "planchet" was cast and then the sprue removed and then the design stamped on the planchet. An extremely rare type of the Tempo Mameita-gin.
