Philip II, as Caesar, 244-247. Antoninianus (Silver, 22 mm, 3.94 g, 1 h), Rome, 244-246. M IVL PHILIPPVS CAES Radiate and draped bust of Philip II to right, seen from behind. Rev. PIETAS AVGVSTOR Simpulum, sprinkler (sic!), jug, knife and lituus. Cohen 32 var. and RIC 215 var. (sacrificial implements in different arrangement). A minor but very rare reverse variety. Minor roughness, otherwise, good very fine.
