KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 13.29 g, 8 h), struck by Antipater, Polyperchon, or Kassander, Amphipolis, circa 323/2-316/5. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Young jockey, nude and holding branch and reins, riding horse to right; below, Λ over bukranion; to lower right, monogram of ΗΓ. Le Rider pl. 47, 2. Nicely toned. Test cut on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
