KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 17.05 g, 9 h), Amphipolis, struck under Antipater, circa 323-320. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle with closed wings in right; to left, Phrygian helmet right. Price 112. With a bold head of Herakles. Minor scuff on the head of Zeus and small flan fault on his body, otherwise, good very fine.
