KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III 'the Great', 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 17.16 g, 11 h), Pella, struck by Antipater or Polyperchon, under Philip III, circa 322-320. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, bee right on rose. Price 206. An interesting issue with a charming reverse Symbol and without the usual reverse double strike. Minor porosity, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
