KINGS OF PAEONIA. Audoleon, circa 315-286 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 17.20 g, 4 h), Astibus or Damastion. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, monogram of HP. Price -. Waggoner, Further reflections on Audoleon and his Alexander mint, RBN 129 (1983), 26c (same dies). Rare. Well centered and beautifully toned. Very minor flan flaw on cheek, otherwise, extremely fine.
