ATTICA. Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30 mm, 16.51 g, 1 h), 'New Style' coinage, Andreas, Charinautes, and Amynomachos, magistrates, struck circa 104-103. Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos. Rev. A-ΘE / ANΔ-PEA / XAPI/NAY/THΣ / AMY/NOMA Owl standing facing on Amphora; to right, Dionysos (?) seated and Demeter standing facing; on amphora, Γ; in exergue, ΣO. Thompson 105. Very fine.
