CARIA. Knidos. Circa 465-449 BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 6.23 g, 9 h). Forepart of roaring lion to right. Rev. Head of Aphrodite to right, her hair falling down the back of her neck and tied at the end; all within incuse square. Cahn 79 (V38/R54). Beautiful classical style. Struck from a slightly worn obverse die and with minor die breaks on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
