SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Seleukos I Nikator, 312-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 16.82 g, 5 h), Susa, under Antiochos I, 281-261. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΣEΛEΥKOΥ Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left and below throne, monograms. HGC 125c. SC 399.7b. A nicely toned and attractive example. Slightly double struck on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
