China Peoples Republic of China 10 Yuan 1953 Pick 870. A lovely, original 1953 10 Yuan note. The large format and iconic vignette add to this note's lore. Despite the fact that these notes represented an enormous sum of money for the time, most are still found in mid-grade ranges. In the last few years, only two other fully uncirculated notes have made auction appearances, a PMG 65 EPQ in 2012 and a PCGSBG 65 OPQ in 2016 that realized $92,000 and $68,000 respectively. While this note doesn't quite reach the Gem grade, it has all the eye appeal of a true Gem with incredible colors and nicely centered design details earning it a PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 grade.
