Czechoslovakia Theresienstadt Ghetto 1; 2; 5; 10; 20; 50; 100 Kronen 1.1.1943 Feller CZ-650-56 Campbell 4111-17 Schwan-Boling 701-07. Each note is a different color and all feature an engraved portrait of Moses on the face holding the Ten Commandments. Moses is said to point towards the commandment, "Thou Shall Not Kill." Theresienstadt was established as a "proposed model ghetto," to impress foreign visitors and the Red Cross. Theresienstadt was nothing more than a transit point to the death camps in Poland, according to the Campbell reference. The three highest denominations were printed with serial numbers and series letters. All of the examples in this lot are graded by PCGS. The 1 Krone and 2 Kronen grade Superb Gem New 67PPQ. The 5, 10, and 50 Kronen notes grade Gem New 66PPQ. The 100 Kronen piece grades Very Choice New 64PPQ and the 20 Kronen weighs in at Very Choice New 64. HID08701242017
