KINGS of MACEDON. temp. Philip III – Lysimachos. Circa 323-280 BC. AR Drachm (16mm, 4.24 g, 12h). In the name and types of Alexander III. Uncertain mint in Western Asia Minor. Head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin / Zeus Aëtophoros seated left; E-in-circle in left field. Price –; Cavalla 41 var. (same obv. die, different monogram). Near EF, toned, tiny mark in field on reverse. Well centered.

The style of the obverse on the present piece is identical to that found on examples of Price 2781–6, which is a group that shares some obverse die links. The Cavalla piece is an example of Price 2785.
